Dubai taxis to now accept Nol, credit cards
The Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA) and Network International, a payment solutions provider in the Middle East, today entered into a partnership that will enable passengers using the RTA's taxis to pay fares using Nol, credit and debit cards.
Cab-sharing: No RTA ban on multiple drop-offs

More people booking Dubai taxis over the phone
In 2011, the number of cabs booked by cab users through the Booking and Despatch Center at RTA's Public Transport Agency increased to 5,080,903 bookings, up by 16 per cent, as compared to 4,393,826 bookings in 2010. The total number of calls also increased by 20.9 per cent, going up to 7,256,236 calls in 2011, as compared to the number of calls in 2010.
Free rides on public transport on November 1
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will offer free rides on public transport for a day to mark Public Transport Day on November 1 for the second consecutive year. Dedicated bus and taxi lanes will also be opened on Naif and Al Ittihad roads on this day.
