Dubai Taxi sets up solidarity fund for cab drivers

The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) at the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has recently set up a Social Solidarity Fund for cabdrivers of the fleet; which comprises 3,504 vehicles operated round-the-clock to serve citizens, residents and tourists arriving in Dubai from all corners of the globe.

Dubai Taxi revenues cross Dh1bn

Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), revealed that the total revenues of the Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) in 2011 clocked Dh1.058 billion of which Dh979 million were operational revenues, Dh79 million were non-operational revenues; which shows a 22 per cent hike when compared with 2010 results where revenues amounted to Dh864.341 million.

Dubai Taxi profits rise 11% to Dh114 million: Al Tayer

The gross revenues of the Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) soared to Dh864.341 million in 2010 compared to Dh798.837 million in 2009 with its taxi fleet running 82 million trips, lifting 164.7 million passengers last year, Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), said on Saturday.

Dubai Marina residents see red over roadworks

Driving into Dubai Marina, on the stretch of road behind Jumeirah Beach Residence, takes a lot longer than expected. The roads, which were once meant to be wide and meandering have reached a narrow bottleneck, tapering to one lane in certain spots, most notably by the Marina Promenade.

Jebel Ali Bus Depot to open in July

New roads for 3 Dubai residential areas

The Board of Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), chaired by Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director, has approved the construction of local road projects in three residential districts; namely Al Khawaneej 1, Al Barsha 1, 2 & 3, and Al Warqa 1, 2, 3 & 4.
