New directory of ads aligned with best traffic practises
THE new Directory of Outdoor Ads has been endorsed by the Dubai Municipality, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and the Dubai Police. Placing of the aerial ads “will be subjected to a string of standards and various conditions and that these ads have to be placed at specific areas in such a way that they do not undermine the traffic safety,” said the authorities.
Phase 2 of Dubai bus, taxi lanes plan set for H2
The second phase of introducing dedicated bus and taxi lanes in Dubai will take place in the second half of this year, transport chief Mattar Al Tayer said on Monday. The chairman and executive director of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said phase two will see 1km of Naif Road and 1km of Al Ittihad Road being changed to help the flow of public transport.
Al Tayer launches RTA employees Intranet System
H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the portal of internal communication system (Intranet) at (http://intranet.rta.ae); which is a new tool for internal communication and cooperation between RTA employees. The gateway enables sharing and exchanging of documents pertinent to the activities of all RTA employees.
