Well, the rate starts from 25AED and runs at 1.71AED a kilometre—a premium when compared to the starting rate of 3AED for regular cabs (20AED if you’re coming out of the airport or going into Sharjah).
RTA launches cab safety service for women, pupils
A new cab service, focusing on offering safer services for women and children especially, was launched by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Monday. Called the "In-Safe-Hands Taxi Service", it allows passengers to book the cabs for daily, weekly or monthly use after signing an agreement with the RTA.
