RTA has urged its customers to make maximum use of its online ‘dashboard’ service, where in they can access all services required on a single screen.
“It’s basically a single window from where you can shop everything that is available with us,” said Abdullah Al Madani, CEO of the RTA’s Corporate Technical Support Sector.
The dashboard could be accessed by anyone who carries out transactions with the RTA, by registering on the authority’s website free of charge.
“Every person can have a dashboard of his own, where he can store all his data and access all our services. Once an individual or a company feeds in details about licence and vehicles it owns, the dashboard saves the data permanently which helps the customer in processing the transactions,” said Al Madani, revealing the details of the service.
The dashboard, which was first introduced during GITEX 2010, went live recently and currently provides licensing, registration, distinguished plates and fine payment services but the RTA is planning to add more services soon.
“The dashboard right now performs tasks like renewal of licences and vehicle registration as well as payment of fines. With the dashboard, a person doesn’t have to remember all the details; once you sign in, it will show the expiry dates of vehicle registration and licences, show fines if there are any etc. One can also number plates, parking cards etc. through it,” added Al Madani.
He said the aim of the initiative is to save people’s time as well as energy and soon, the RTA would be able to provide maximum of its services through this medium. “Our idea is to offer all our transactions through this window, be it providing NoCs, Nol services, customer suggestions or enquiries. We will keep adding services to this window and our customers won’t have to search for different things on different pages,” said Al Madani, talking about the future plan.
