A new inspection and certification service for cranes and other vehicles used in the construction sector was unveiled today by Tasjeel, a joint venture of the Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc) and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai.
The new service will be provided in partnership with TUV SUD Middle East LLC, a subsidiary of TUV SUD, Germany, which will inspect and certify construction vehicles for safety at Tasjeel’s Warsan site.
The entire process will take one hour to complete per vehicle.
“With the new service, Tasjeel aims to carry out inspection of around 10,000 cranes, and construction vehicles in Dubai alone. It will be the first time that construction vehicles are inspected for safety using world-class professional standards in the city. We are pleased to partner with TUV SUD Middle East LLC, which is certified by the government,” said Burhan Al Hashemi, Managing Director Retail Services, Enoc.
Tasjeel offers a wide range of facilities under one roof for customers to complete the vehicle testing and registration process. The amenities include, among others, an Enoc/EPPCO service station, convenience store, insurance booth, document typing booth and number plate factory.
Tasjeel sites are located in Al Ghusais, Al Barsha, Al Aweer, Warsan, Jebel Ali Free Zone and Hatta in Dubai and Tasjeel Auto Village and Khorfakkan in Sharjah.
