Mohammed bin Rashid orders payment of Dhs26m bonus to taxicab plate holders



HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, has ordered the payment of Dhs26,364,000 to Emiratis whose taxicab number plates are used by Dubai Taxi Corporation and Taxi Franchise Companies at Roads and Transport Authority (RTA); the number of which is 6591 plates.

RTA Public Transport Agency will start bonus distribution to the entitled beneficiaries, over and above their annual financial dues.

H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA, thanked HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for rewarding taxi plate holders, who are mostly among fixed income group, and enabling them to better cope with the requirements of life and earn a decent living for them and their families.

“These bonuses are part of many others generous gestures we are accustomed to from HH; which are true testament to the support accorded by HH to his people and the attention made to their social affairs and living conditions, particularly those with fixed incomes. It further illustrates the consideration of HH to provide good living to all members of the community and steps up the existing social solidarity concepts among individuals,” concluded Al Tayer.
