Lieutenant Obaid Mattar loves going to work everyday. For as he steps out of his Chevrolet Tahoe, he knows that he will spend the day patrolling the streets in any one of the force’s 17 supercars – worth an estimated Dhs20million.
An officer with the Tourist Police Patrol Section at Dubai Police, Mattar, 29, is the envy of his colleagues, cruising the streets of Downtown behind the wheel of an Aston Martin One-77 or Bentley Continental GT.
He and Lieutenant Saif Sultan Al Shamsi, head of the section, took 7DAYS for a spin this week as they spoke about the role supercars play for the police. More info
