Dubai taxis will soon be equipped with mini water coolers for selling mineral water on the move.
The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), has signed an agreement with Al Ain Mineral Water for supplying and installing mini water coolers on board Dubai Taxi vehicles.
The project will be implemented for a three-month trial period on 350 DTC taxis deployed at the airport. The trial period is extendable for another period to assess the viability and feasibility of the project.
“The company will provide mini water coolers along with water bottles for use in our taxicabs and the performance of the operation will be monitored with a view to improving the service offered,” said Abdul Aziz Malik, the CEO of DTC.
The cost of water bottles sold will be added to the meter charge of the taxi service to avoid potential irregularities, Malik added.
