DUBAI — The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has kicked off a promotional campaign entitled “DTC Fleet” as part of its strategic vision to upgrade the level of taxi services rendered to customers, enhance the operational efficiency, introduce and promote DTC services and raise the profile of the DTC among all segments of the community.

Explaining the campaign, Yousef Al Ali, Director of DTC Fleet Operations said: “DTC fleet comprises around 3504 taxicabs deployed 24 hours a day, including holidays and Islamic Eids.
The DTC fleet is characterised by distinctive red rooftop vehicles; which are regularly and continuously cleaned and maintained. These vehicles are fitted with safety specifications and are being monitored by satellite tracking systems. “The Campaign included displaying promotional ads of the services on 100 vehicles besides distributing brochures and leaflets to taxis, metro stations, Dubai airports, shopping centers and other service outlets.
“DTC provides the service of hiring a taxi with a driver for travelling from Dubai to other emirates any time through wdialing 04-2080808 based on a fixed tariff of 500 dirham per 6 hours and 800 dirham per 12 hours. RTA Public Transport Agency manages the Booking and Despatch Center; which is concerned with the provision of the booking service of all taxicabs in Dubai,” he added. news@khaleejtimes.com
