The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened Transactions Clearing Office for processing employees’ transactions at its Head Office (1st floor, Drivers Services Center) as part of DTC’s endeavours to provide new services to employees at nominal fees in a bid to raise their satisfaction rating.
According to Ali Mattar Mohammed, Director of DTC Resources and Support, the Business Platform Company has been selected to hire and utilize an office space for establishing and running this line of business for a one-year period, renewable.
The deal was made following a public auction arranged by the DTC for which several companies and entities specialized in transactions clearance applied. The Company has the required material, technical and human resources & expertise to deliver the required works and services to the required & agreed specifications and quality standards, he said.
He continued: “This office will process a number of transactions pertinent to DTC employees such as renewal of Emirati and expatriate staff passports, renewal of visas for families of employees posted in the second and third job grades, renewal & abolishing of maids visas, issuance of residency and visit visas in respect of employees, issuance of commercial licenses, approvals from the Department of Economic Development, renewal of identity cards of employees & their families, booking business names without a third party endorsement and other personal transactions.”
“The opening of this office comes in the context of DTC’s efforts to raise employees satisfaction and we are intensifying our efforts to push it further in the near future, particularly in the wake of several procedures taken in this regard such as the launch of the monthly Distinguished Employee Award, Walaa’ee Scheme intended to boost inter-employee communication & cooperation, enhancement of the role and contribution of DTC employees in the Mystery Rider activities with the aim of improving the administrative, financial, technological and operational services, and improvement of the caliber of services delivered to customers; which in turn foster a feeling of relief among employees,” added Ali Mattar.
For his part Abdullah Mohammed Abdullah, General Manager of Business Platform Co, expressed his delight for making a successful bid and pledged to work hand-in-hand with the RTA in general and DTC in particular. He reiterated the Company’s commitment to deliver on its promises agreed to in the Contract in the interest of the DTC and its employees.
