The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has signed an agreement with Al Futtaim Motors, the exclusive distributor of Toyota vehicles in the United Arab Emirates, to beef up the DTC’s VIP Taxi service with two new Toyota Land Cruiser 4WD (Black SUV) in a bid to raise the bar on taxi service offering at Dubai Airports, and raise customers satisfaction rating to as much as 82% by the end of this year.
The move marks the debut of large-sized multi-purpose vehicles at any of the UAE’s airports to provide an exclusive luxurious transit experience for both tourists and residents. The new service comes in line with the Government’s drive to encourage launching and adopting innovative ideas to consolidate the leading position and excellent standing of Dubai in providing high quality services at world-class standards.
The new vehicles were delivered in an official ceremony held at the Dubai Airports in the presence of engineer Ahmed Al Suwaidi CEO of DTC; Mr. John Williams, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Motors, and a number of senior officials representing both parties.
Engineer Ahmed Al Suwaidi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Corporation, said “The DTC has made a new track record in its unique & distinguished services rendered to various customers to materialize its own vision of ‘Pioneers in Passenger Transport Services’ by deploying new Toyota Land Cruiser 4WD vehicles to serve dignitaries at Dubai Airports. Such a move is part of DTC’s quest for opening up new horizons, and setting a new trend in providing high quality services capable of enhancing the image of Dubai emirate in keeping with the ambitions & plans of our wise leadership.”
“Adding Land Cruiser vehicles to DTC fleet to serve VIPs tantamount to a launch of a new product to the portfolio of our various services provided in cooperation with some of our strategic partners such as Al Futtaim Motors, and Dubai Airports, which have always been key pillars supporting DTC’s strategic initiatives and projects. The new service also stands out as a clear testament of our continuing efforts to provide premium transport service for customers of various categories,” added Al Suwaidi.
“Two new vehicles will be launched in the first phase of the VIP taxi service, and can be ordered directly from Dubai Airports or via and the Booking & Despatch Centre by calling 04–2080808. The flag-down rate is AED 50, be it ordered from Dubai Airports or the Booking & Dispatch Centre,” concluded the CEO of the DTC.
