More than 2.9 million booking requests placed by taxi customers in Dubai were executed during the first half of 2016, according to the Roads and Transport Authority.
The Booking & Dispatch Centre of RTA’s Public Transport Agency said that the time of dispatching a taxi to a customer fell to 14.2 minutes in the same period.
Abdullah Al Mahri, director of Transport Activities Monitoring, RTA’s Public Transport Agency, also revealed that the response time recorded to incoming calls was 34 seconds.
He said that during the first six months of this year, the Centre received more than 4 million calls while about 29,000 taxi booking requests were made through the smart taxi app. More info
