We in Dubai might find a million faults with local cabs and cabbies, but for the world’s travellers, the emirate’s taxi service is one of the best in the world.
The third best, if this survey from the world’s largest travel site TripAdvisor is anything to go by.
According to a pop-up survey conducted by TripAdvisor, the emirate was judged to have the third-best taxi service out of 40 cities, which included Tokyo, Singapore and Zurich.
Tokyo was number one and Singapore was adjudged second-placed.
TripAdvisor revealed the findings as part of its Cities Survey, a look into how travellers and locals view 40 key tourist cities around the world.
The results were compiled based on more than 75,000 responses to a survey sent to those who have recently written TripAdvisor reviews on the featured cities.
Tokyo emerged the most decorated world city ranked number one for best taxi services, friendliest taxi drivers, best public transportation, cleanest streets, and safety. More info
