The Dubai Metro services have been restored after a reported technical snag resulted in 40-minute delays.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai confirmed the incident on its social media account, stating services were restored around 7pm.
In a statement, the authority said the Dubai Metro services at the Financial Centre Station have returned to normal after a 40-minute stoppage.
While no official reason was cited, Dubai Metro users stated announcements at the station informed them of a technical snag that had them delayed during the evening rush hour.
However, commuters reported delays lasting nearly an hour long, with several people tweeting their frustration on social media, with crowds gathering across several stations post the office work hours. More info
