The number of passengers using Dubai International Airport grew 15.6% this year, to reach 42.9 million passengers during 11M2010, The National reported.
This was driven by the increase in travel to the Indian subcontinent, GCC and western Europe, the paper explained.
Dubai Airport has crossed a ‘traffic threshold” after the number of passengers have surpassed 4 million in October and November 2010, according to Paul Griffiths, the CEO of Dubai Airports who said that a monthly count of 4 million travellers is forecast to become the norm for 2011.
