RTA workers took bribes to fake vehicle tests, court hears
Two data entry officers at the Roads and Transport Authority this morning denied taking bribes in exchange for forging official documents showing vehicles had passed testing. The two Iranians, a female defendant AB, 32, and SQ, 31, denied before the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance taking nearly Dh13,500 to falsify the vehicles’ test results.
Arabian Automobiles offers 24-hour service
Arabian Automobiles, the exclusive dealer of Nissan, Infiniti and Renault in Dubai and the northern emirates has launched the UAE’s first 24-hour service facility. The new facility located in Al Aweer aims to service 300 cars a day and accommodate the company’s predicted double digit growth over the next year as well as its increased fleet servicing business it will complete for RTA, Dubai and Sharjah taxi’s.
300 junctions linked to central traffic light system
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the completion of linking 300 signalised junctions with the Central Light Traffic Control System; which represents about 75 per cent of light signals in Dubai.
Dubai buses, taxis to be fitted with fuel savers
