Dubai Taxi to cool water tanks in drivers quarters
Out of its keen attention to deliver excellent services to cabdrivers, the Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) at Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has embarked last month on cooling the water tanks at drivers accommodation including a mechanism to control the water temperature to make it cool in summer and warm in winter to suit the needs of drivers.
RTA sets controls for water taxi operation
The Marine Dep’t, Public Transport Agency at Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), has set a number of stipulations & controls governing the operation of the Water Taxi in Dubai Emirate with a view to ensuring the highest levels of safety & security as well as a safe & smooth water transit for all.
RTA launches new categories of Nol Cards
Mr. Abdullah Al Madani CEO of RTA’s Technical Corporate Support Services Sector announced that the RTA would launch new categories of Nol Cards used in paying fares of all mass transit means including the metro, public buses and the water bus besides paying for the parking fees in all over Dubai Emirate.
Dubai Metro Red Line to be completed in April 2010, Green Line in August 2011
H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), announced that the Contractor of Dubai Metro Project; Dubai Rail Link (DURL) Consortium; is set to complete all the remaining works in the stations on the Red Line (18 stations) on 25 April 2010, and that all works in the stations on the Green Line will be completed in August 2011.
RTA to boost media cooperation with Ajman Chamber of Commerce
The Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication Department at Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Peyman Younes Parham stated that the Department is making keen efforts to boost the communication links and open up joint communication channels to benefit from the mutual expertise of various organizations across the UAE.
Al Tayer launches RTA employees Intranet System
H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the portal of internal communication system (Intranet) at (http://intranet.rta.ae); which is a new tool for internal communication and cooperation between RTA employees. The gateway enables sharing and exchanging of documents pertinent to the activities of all RTA employees.
RTA announces the winners of 2nd Dubai Award for Sustained Transport
Under the auspices and in attendance of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) celebrates on Wednesday February 10th the winning companies and organizations of the 2nd Dubai Award for Sustained Transport (DAST) 2009.
