RTA launches bus website
Bus commuters can now access a dedicated website that can help them plan the journey, explore different routes, buy the tickets as well as share their experience. The fully loaded interactive portal was launched recently and takes commuters on a virtual ride through the bus system in Dubai.
RTA gets certification for assets management
The Public Transport Agency, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) became the first Middle Eastern entity to obtain the internationally acclaimed Assets Management Certification of Conformity to the Publicly Available Specification (PAS) 55 assessment awarded by the British SGS Group.

UAE to invest $40b for public transport by 2025
The 59th UITP Congress concluded on Thursday in Dubai with the call to the world to double the market share of public transport or face the negative consequences of environment, health and finance. As much as $30 trillion worth of investment has been sought by UITP officials in their attempt to convert the dream of doubling the public transport into a reality in the next 15 years.
