Emirates launches lowest economy class fares to Australia and Bangkok
Emirates airline has announced lower fares for passengers travelling from Malta to Bangkok and all four cities in Australia. Emirates flies from Dubai non-stop to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth in Australia and non-stop to Bangkok. The special airfares start from e1,025.28 inclusive of taxes to all four destinations in Australia and are valid for passengers travelling in Economy Class during the month of March 2010 only.
Two transit passengers carrying drugs arrested in Dubai
Two transit passengers were arrested by the combating narcotics unit of Dubai Police for possessing more than 10 kg of the stimulant drug crystal methamphetamine. The two suspects were transiting from Armenia through Dubai International Airport and heading to smuggle the drugs in Malaysia.
Dubai Airport Freezone’s Revenues Soar on Foreign Firms’ Expansion
Expansion by European and US companies boosted Dubai Airport Freezone’s revenues by 30 per cent during 2009 compared to the previous year, the freezone said. European companies in the Freezone represent 34 per cent of the operating companies in various sectors, while US companies represent 8 per cent.
